Alhamdulillah, the solemnization of my aunty (mother's side) was successfully completed. Not too late to say, congratulations and may Allah bless the newlyweds.

It was on Friday. We decided to convoy together. So we gathered at my uncle's house in Mengkubau. After the Friday prayers, everybody started and was ready to depart. It took almost an hour, traveling from Mengkubau to Sungai Paku, Telisai, Tutong district.

We arrived there, and were welcomed by the groom's family. We sat at the canopy, waiting for the ceremony. The marriage solemnization was smooth, followed by guests enjoying the feast and later, we had a chance to shake hands with the groom and bride.

What was new for me was the foot-washing custom. It was my first time, and I didn't know how to do it. So I let my uncle do it first, I mean to demonstrate to me, and then I followed the steps. Yes, I've heard so many times about the foot-washing custom but had never practiced it. It was simple and unique.

Once again, congratulations to the newlyweds and may your relationship last until your last breath and meet again in paradise.
